Char Hut Restaurant's BurgerDO I NEED TO HAVE EXPERIENCE IN THE RESTAURANT INDUSTRY?

Whether you are a new business owner with no previous experience or a seasoned restaurateur, our support team will assist you during the entire process of building your own profitable burger business. Char-Hut provides a comprehensive 8-week management course that gives you the confidence and knowledge to succeed.

IS THERE REALLY THAT MUCH OF A DEMAND FOR BURGERS?

Yes! The burger market has been growing consistently since 2001 and, according to QSR Magazine, the economy will help propel the better-burger trend even higher into the next decade. Char-Hut provides the perfect option for families who want to eat out economically. Plus, we have developed an expanded client base by adding vegetarian and diet-friendly options to our menu.

HOW LONG IS THE TRAINING PROGRAM AND WHAT CAN I EXPECT TO LEARN?

Our training consists of approximately 6 weeks of classroom and on-site training at the company headquarters in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Additionally, one of our representatives will be at your site for up to 7 days in coordination with the opening of your restaurant. Your training program is intensive and covers operations from back of the house to front of the house, including:

Recipes and food prep

Quality and service standards

Inventory procedures

Equipment and safety

Brand compliance

Food safety

Sanitation and health code compliance

Best hiring practices

When you have completed our training program, you will be ready to own a restaurant!

WILL YOU ASSIST ME WITH ESTABLISHING MY VENDOR RELATIONSHIPS AND INITIAL INVENTORY PURCHASE?

Yes. Char-Hut has a preferred vendor program to provide you with all the products that you will use to operate your restaurant. In addition, we will provide guidance and assistance with your opening inventory purchase.

DOES CHAR-HUT OFFER FINANCING?

We have relationships with some third-party groups that may offer you financing. However, we recommend that you have a minimum of $200,000 in liquid capital.

DOES CHAR-HUT OFFER A MULTI-UNIT FRANCHISE OPPORTUNITY?

Absolutely! We provide you a protected territory as part of your franchise agreement, but we understand that you may want the flexibility to open multiple locations and have complete control of your territory.

WHAT ARE THE INITIAL FRANCHISE FEES AND ONGOING ROYALTY FEES?

The initial franchisee fee is $30,000. You will pay ongoing royalties of 6% and, currently, there is no marketing fee contribution. We would provide our franchisees with a 30-day notice before collecting any national marketing fees.

WHERE SHOULD I LOCATE MY RESTAURANT?

We have been successful in both urban and suburban locations, so we will work directly with your local real estate professional to help select the best site available. In general, we are looking for high-visibility, end-cap, Class-A locations. Ideally, we would like to see you in a space that is between 2,200-2,800 square feet and have outdoor seating available. Visibility and signage is very important. Other site guidelines include: 20- to 40-foot frontage; neighboring retail centers, entertainment centers, lifestyle centers; close to theaters and other social gathering spots; and nearby high-density residential areas.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO OPEN ONCE I HAVE SIGNED A FRANCHISE AGREEMENT?

Your first location will generally open within 12 months of signing your agreement. That time may be reduced considerably if your location has already been identified.

WILL YOU HELP WITH MY INITIAL MARKETING STRATEGY, BRANDING AND GRAND OPENING?

Yes. We will assist you with all aspects of your opening. Our website and branding program have been specially designed to help you maximize your restaurant’s business potential.

SOCIAL MEDIA IS REALLY BIG RIGHT NOW. DO YOU HAVE A POLICY AS TO WHAT I CAN AND CANNOT DO?

We have an extensive social media policy coupled with best practices. Some franchisees are better-equipped than others to monitor and manage their social media presence. We will discuss this at length during training, and you will be all set up before you open your restaurant.

WHAT SUPPORT SERVICES WILL YOU PROVIDE?

Plenty! You are purchasing the rights to all of our individual support elements. Here are just a few of the areas we cover: operations manuals, technical data, strategic vendor relationships, website management, SEO for your territory and direct business management. Also, we offer daily email communications and phone support from our operational and marketing support teams. Our system provides you with years of accumulated knowledge and expertise in the QSR industry.
