Steven R. Kamelhair is a longtime veteran of the restaurant business. With 22 years of food experience as an executive officer, Steve has successfully operated all aspects of the restaurant business from real estate leasing and acquisition and financing to operations, labor and food costs. In addition to building the Char Hut franchise, Steve operates the South Florida franchise of Original Pancake House. Steve holds a Finance degree from Florida Atlantic University and is a graduate of Cornell University’s Restaurant Executive Program.
Warren Gary Sackler brings over 29 years of food service and restaurant management experience to the Char Hut team. During his career in food service, Warren has both managed and owned restaurants, giving him a comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of successful restaurant operation. Warren is committed to passing his knowledge along to the next generation of food service professionals as an Associate Professor of restaurant management and operations courses. Warren holds a B.A. in Hotel Restaurant and Institutional Management from Michigan State University and a M.A. in Food Service Management from New York University.
Russell Miller is the founder, owner, and CEO of R. Miller Builders Corporation (RMB), a commercial General Contracting and Construction Management company specializing in the Restaurants, Retail and the Casino and Hospitality Industries, headquartered in Weston, FL. He has nearly 20 years of experience building, and developing projects primarily in Southern Florida, but also in Maryland, Kentucky and currently, Las Vegas. Through RMB and his previous company, Alliance Contracting Corporation, Russell has built more than 250 projects totaling in excess of 2 million square feet and representing over $150 million. Russell brings his unique vision and extensive knowledge of the restaurant industry to the expansion of Char Hut.
Since 1992, Geoffrey P. Stevens, Licensed Real Estate Broker, has managed site selection, lease negotiation, design and construction needs for hundreds of successful restaurants and retail stores. Dedicated to the advancement and success of independent and franchise merchants, Geoffrey takes a “team” approach to working with franchisees to cultivate and secure locations. The process of finding and securing a great location requires patience, timing, significant research, relationships with landlords and a little bit of luck and Geoffrey knows how to find and close the right deal. While the franchisee might go through the exercise of securing a location a few times in their business career, Geoffrey deals with real estate issues on a daily basis. Tony has been employed by Char-Hut since its inception in 1976. He is currently the Chief Operating Officer of Char-Hut of America Inc. Tony began as a shift manager and after High School graduation in 1977 became a unit General Manager. In 1988 Tony was promoted to company supervisor. Under his direction, Char-Hut has become a South Florida institution. He now brings his expertise to the expansion the Char-Hut brand through Char-Hut Franchising LLC.
Michael has been employed by Char-Hut since 1979 and is currently a Vice President with Char-Hut of America Inc. Michael started with Char-Hut as a store manager after High School graduation in 1979. He now oversees Char-Hut of America and works with Char-Hut Franchising LLC to grow the brand.
